Turkish President launches new diplomatic initiatives against Israel

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated its country's support to the Palestinian cause and sanctity of Jerusalem.

He expressed the support during his telephonic conversation with leaders of nearly 20 nations in which he asked them to take a united stance against Israeli raids and attacks on Palestinians.

Describing these attacks as terrorism, the Turkish President urged the United Nations Security Council to intervene before the crisis escalates further and make efforts to send an international peacekeeping force in the region.
