Pakistan's constitution guarantees right to freedom to every citizen: DG PBC

ISLAMABAD: Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation while addressing the international conference of news agencies organized by APP, said that constitution of Pakistan guarantees right to freedom to every citizen.
While talking to our Islamabad correspondent in an exclusive interview he said that Radio Pakistan will also organize such exchange programmes as these exchange programmes play pivotal role and polish the skills of journalists.
Shafqat Jalil said that we have vibrant and free media and due to the fast pace of new media it has brought revolution in our lives.
The DG also said that gate-keeping is an important chapter of Journalism which can not be ignored and it is also imperative for prevention of fake news.
He said that social media has a big impact on our lives and it is playing important role for dissemination of information among the masses.AFP
