Religious Authorities approval must before issuance of Umrah

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Religious Authorities approval must before issuance of Umrah

 

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has advised Umrah aspirants to ink agreement only with ministry's verified Umrah companies as per Saudi requirements.

 

According to an official, Saudi government has made mandatory the verification of Religious Affairs before issuance of Umrah visa to the pilgrims.

 

After provision of relevant documents by Umrah pilgrims, he said the Ministry scrutinizes agreements of relevant Umrah companies with Saudi companies.

The ministry has so far completed the scrutiny of the documents of 540 Umrah Companies on the directives of Saudi authorities.

 

The ministry has asked the intending Umrah aspirants to make a deal with only registered and verified Umrah companies.

 

The list of authorized Umrah companies is available at www.haj.gov.sa.

 

The ministry has already completed the scrutiny of Umrah companies, who has sent their documents. The ministry has  urged the remaining Umrah companies to send their documents for scrutiny within a fortnight. Failing which their names would be deleted from authorized list of Umrah companies.

The ministry has already established a separate wing to verify Umrah agreements inked between Zaireen and Umrah operators.

 

Only licenced/registered Umrah operators would be authorized to bring Umrah Zaireen to Saudi Arabia. Umrah Zaireen will have to get permission from the ministry before leaving to Saudi Arabia.

 

The main objective of regulating Umrah operation is to ensure timely return of Zaireen to Pakistan after performing the sacred religious obligation.
