ISLAMABAD - Embassy of Pakistan, Ankara, organized an event in connection with Pakistan Online Visa System which was announced by Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Thursday. The event was attended by Turkish dignitaries, tour operator and Pakistan community based in Ankara, said press release received here. Turkey was among the first five countries whose citizens will avail the new E-visa facility for visit to Pakistan. Speaking at the event, Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi said this landmark initiative by the government of Pakistan would help attract more tourists as well as foreign investments into Pakistan.
This initiative was the best tool to further enhance Pakistan’s soft power, he said. Former Chairman of Pakistan Turkey Friendship Group in Turkish Parliament and current Deputy Chairman of Foreign Affairs of the AK Party Burhan Kayaturk while lauding initiative said many Turks would now visit Pakistan and enjoy the natural beauty as well as the traditional hospitality of the brotherly country.
