KABUL- Eight Afghan security forces were killed over the last night when the Taliban attacked their outpost in areas belonging to the provincial capital city, said Dadullah Qaneh, a member of provincial council.
He further indicated that four policemen and four soldiers of Afhan National Directorate of Security or NDS forces were killed the attack.
Meanwhile, Ariana News have found footage records showing that Afghan forces in Shamalgah outpost of Farah province surrender to the Taliban after running out of munitions.
The outpost located in the vicinity of Farah’s capital city collapsed into the hands of Taliban two days ago.
Nearly 50 Afghan forces have lost their lives in such brutal attacks of the militants just over the course of last five days in the western province.
Local authorities said that Taliban couldn’t maintain control over the collapsed outposts and have fled the area after collecting weapons and munitions of Afghan forces.
Abdul Basir Salangi, governor of Farah province confirmed the death of 36 Afghan forces in recent battles with the Taliban but claimed that over 100 militants were killed in Afghan counter-attacks.
He further reiterated that the central government is aware of the situation and the Taliban will be targeted soon in a wide operation across the province.
