ISLAMABAD, June 14 (APP): PTI Lawmaker demands probing NAB chairman for taking double benefits
Pakistani Tehreek-i-Insaf lawmaker Dr Arif Alvi on Tuesday demanded to probe National Accountability Bureaus (NAB) Chairman for taking double and illegal benefits from national exchequer simultaneously.
Speaking on a point of order, he urged the Speaker to refer the issue to Public Accounts Committee of the House.
He said that despite getting pension since 1982 after retirement from army, the NAB Chairman submitted a certificate every month that he was not getting additional benefits from any other quarters.
Alvi said that a former Auditor General was also grilled for withdrawing salaries from two different departments simultaneously.
He said only impartial people could complete task of across the board accountability.
