The SC wants work on the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams to start soon

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has told the committee formed to construct the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams to speed up work to begin construction of the dams.
Chief Justice Saqib Nisar met Wapda Chairperson Lieutenant General Muzzamil Hussain, who is also a member of the committee, and was briefed on the its progress.
He said that five sub-committees have been formed on court orders. The committees are looking after the purchase of land for both damns, as well as financial and security matters relating to the construction.
Earlier, Justice Nisar said that they will not allow anyone to steal the money for the dams.
He had ordered bank accounts to be set up for the dam fund. Citizens have been encouraged to donate to the fund. APP
