Pakistan takes the Kashmir issue to the OIC Contact Group

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry briefed the Islamabad-based Ambassadors of the member countries of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir (Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Niger through its capital) over tense situation in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).

 

According to Foreign Office’s statement, he conveyed Pakistan’s serious concern over the brutal killings of innocent civilians and violation of their fundamental human rights by Indian Security Forces.

 

While appreciating the continued support of OIC member states to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the realization of their right to self determination, the foreign secretary said that Muslims of Kashmir look towards their Muslims brothers at this difficult and challenging time.
