ISLAMABAD - Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has made historic record.
He has secured a new record for the highest number of dismissals behind the stumps in a game for Pakistan.
The wicketkeeper-batsman took 10 catches in the third and final Test against South Africa at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.
The previous best from Pakistan was a shared record between Rashid Latif and Kamran Akmal who took nine catches apiece against New Zealand and West Indies, respectively.
Most dismissals in a match for Pakistan
Sarfraz also went past Australia’s Adam Gilchrist (eight against Sri Lanka), Alec Steward (eight against South Africa) and India’s MS Dhoni (eight against Australia) to become the wicket-keeper captain with the greatest number of catches in a match.
