Rangers, Police devise security strategy for peace maintenance in Karachi
KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh Director General (DG) Major General Muhammad Saeed and Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam on Wednesday discussed law and order situation in the metropolis in a high-level meeting at the Pakistan Rangers Sindh Headquarters.
Keeping in view the recent incidents of target killings in the city, the Rangers and Sindh Police reviewed the security measures and devised a new security strategy to effectively combat any terror incident and target killings, said a statement.
The meeting decided to enhance coordinated and joint efforts for the maintenance of peace in Karachi.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Karachi, AIGP Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Special Branch, Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIGPs) of all zones of city and senior officers of Rangers.
