A new low in China and UK bilateral ties

BEIJING - China has canceled trade talks with UK after British Defense Secretary Gavin Williamson threatened to deploy a warship in the Pacific.

The Sun newspaper reported that the trade talks between Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua and Britain’s Finance Minister Philip Hammond were due to be held this weekend.

These were canceled by Chinese side in protest over Williamson’s speech on Monday.
