Nawaz Sharif came into power through fake mandate: Asif Zardari

LAHORE:PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari has claimed that Nawaz Sharif had come into power through the fake mandate.

Talking to senior anchor and analyst Arif Nizami in 92 News Program ‘Ho Kaya Raha Hay’, he said that the PML-N bribes Rs 3,000 to each worker to fill up the meetings of Nawaz Sharif.

“Remove his prime minister and chief minister, then see how much popularity he enjoys,” he said.

The former president said that he had given funds to all MNAs, but the government did not give a single rupee to any PPP member. “We will forcefully contest the elections,” he added.

Zardari said that he had been willing to share the stage with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan at the Pakistan Awami Tehreek rally in Lahore, but Imran Khan had not joined him.

Zardari said that he did not believe that any party will get a clear majority in the National Assembly in the forthcoming elections. He said he was determined to bring Benazir Bhutto’s killers to justice.APP/AFP
