KARACHI: Pakistan Super League 2017 has been hit hard by allegations of corruption and spot fixing in PSL 2 edition.
Two of the key players have already been sent home on charges of corruption and match fixing.
Suspended cricketer Khalid Latif has offered to turn approver in the Pakistan Super League spot-fixing scandal, according to sources.
Details provided by sources privy to the developments suggest that Islamabad United batsman Khalid Latif may turn approver in the recent corruption scandal which rocked the glamorous PSL.
Khalid Latif had, according to sources, made the offer to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a video statement on Thursday.
On the other hand, Pakistan Cricket Board has not confirmed or refuted the news.The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) provisionally suspended Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif and sent both the players home from Dubai amid ongoing PSL due to alleged involvement in spot-fixing.
Later, the PCB issued show cause notice to both the players besides cancelling their central contract.
Moreover, the cricketing board also interrogated as many as 5 players including Muhammad Irfan, Shahzeb Hassan and Zulfiqar Babar however only Sharjeel and Latif was suspended.
