India faces the worst humiliation at the international front from close ally Japan

ISLAMABAD - India faces the worst humiliation at the international front from close ally Japan.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe have cancelled the officially announced sceheduled visits to India due to violent protests over a controversial citizenship law.

Shinzo Abe was due to arrive in India on Sunday for summit talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

Earlier, Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen and Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan also called off their visits to India in the midst of the violent protests.

Assam and other areas in India have been witnessing massive protests for the last two days with thousands of people hitting the streets demanding scrapping of the controversial Act that denies citizenship rights to Muslims.
