Won’t allow anyone to do politics of arms: DG Rangers Sindh

KARACHI: DG Rangers Sindh Maj Gen Muhammad Saeed has said that they will not allow anyone to do the politics of weapons.
Talking to the media on Wednesday, he said that there is no pardon for those who made the city fearful.
He said that the crime has reduced in the city. “The politics of fear has been eliminated in Karachi,” he added.
The DG Rangers Sindh said that before 2013, an amount of Rs 80-100 million was collected as extortion daily from the city. “Only four cases of extortion were reported this year.”
He said that no terrorist act happened in 2017. “As many as 45 people were killed in target-killing incidents. The banned Ansarul Shariah was involved in 15 incidents,” he said.
Maj Gen Muhammad Saeed that they could not guard thought of anyone, but would not allow a target-killer organization in a political party.
