Army supports mainstreaming of FATA: COAS

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa lauded tribal elders and youth for their determination and support to Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism.
He held detailed discussions with FATA delegations separately of tribal elders Youth Jirga separately in Rawalpindi today (Wednesday).
The delegations acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army's sacrifices efforts and contributions for peace and stability and socio economic development of FATA.
Delegations expressed their respective views regarding mainstreaming of FATA and way forward.
The COAS valued their views regarding future of FATA. He said that achievements through sacrifices of brave tribal of FATA are being consolidated.
He also shared his engagement with Afghan leadership for enhanced cooperation and security measures along Pak-Afghan border.
Army Chief assured both delegations that Pakistan Army fully supports mainstreaming of FATA and shall pursue it in line with aspirations of our tribal brothers.
