Reham Khan lashes out at PTI

PESHAWAR (APP): Eminent social worker and journalist, Reham Khan has out rightly rejected the notion that KP government led by PTI has brought radical changes in the education system of the province, saying things were the same with no immediate respite in the offing.

She said most of schools buildings in KP are in shamble, students are studying in the open during chilly cold weather, majority of schools are without boundary walls lacking others civic amenities like washrooms, chairs, furniture and other necessary tools required for smooth and effective education process in the province.

Reham Khan said focus should be made in provision of clean drinking water and construction of boundary walls and washrooms instead of installation of CCTV Camera in Government schools in Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

In an exclusive interview to a local national Urdu daily here, Reham Khan said PTI Government has allocated Rs 8 billion for education sector inprevious financial year, saying procedural understanding about an effective and transparent utilization of funds was required instead of wastage of funds for better outcome.

She regretted that no solid work has been done regarding harmonizing of educational curriculum with modern days challenges in KP and suggested teaching of education in mothers' languages for better educational results.
