Hamza Shahbaz asked NAB to summon his mother and sisters for investigations on their money laundering accounts

*LAHORE: **Hamza Shahbaz had asked NAB to summon his mother and sisters for investigations over their money laundering accounts as he is not responsible for them in this regard.*

*The director general National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore on Saturday said Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz refused to tell anything about his family members.*

When the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader was asked about his mother Nusrat Shehbaz and his sisters, Rabia and Javeria, he said you should better ask them yourself.

“When he was asked about his brother Salman Shehbaz, he said you should contact him in London,” said the DG NAB Shehzad Saleem.

Saleem Shehzad said money laundering was done through accounts of Shehbaz’s wife and daughters, therefore they would be summoned next week.

No money was illegally transferred from bank account of another daughter of Shehbaz Sharif, Ayesha Haroon.

The NAB has requested the government to place names of Nusrat, Rabia and Javeria on the Exit Control List.

The summon notices have been sent to the three suspects at their houses pertaining to money laundering case.

The NAB on Saturday rejected the statement of former Punjab’s information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb in which she claimed the NAB raided the house of Hamza Shehbaz’s sister.

The NAB, in its statement, said the team had arrived at the residence of Hamza’s sister to get the notice accepted. There was no raid at her house, the spokesperson for the accountability watchdog said.
