The Lahore High Court directed on October 3rd to take steps to establish a definite connection between PTI's chairman Imran Khan's nephew, Hassan Niazi, and his father Hafeezullah Niazi. After that, Hafeezullah Niazi met his son Hassan Niazi today.

Hafeezullah Niazi expressed gratitude on social media for the first meeting with Hassan Khan Niazi and mentioned that Hassan Niazi is in excellent health. He also thanked Allah for his son's strength in the face of unforeseen violence and torture to him.

Regarding the cases related to the May 9th incidents of violence and arson, Hassan Khan Niazi was arrested on August 13th and a hearing on the recovery of Hassan Niazi took place in Lahore High Court on August 18th.

The police report indicated that Hassan Niazi had been handed over to the military for investigation and trial. The Punjab government's lawyer stated that Hassan Niazi was handed over to the military, and he was nominated in the Jinnah Hospital attack case as a central suspect.

In the military courts' trial proceedings for Hassan Niazi, his father, Hafeezullah Niazi, had filed a petition in the Supreme Court. The petition named the federal government of Pakistan and the provincial governments of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan as parties.

The petition also included the Chief Secretary of Islamabad, the Chief Secretary of Punjab, the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Chief Secretary of Balochistan as parties. The petition argued that the Supreme Court has declared that no parallel judicial system can be established under the Constitution.

It also cited Article 10-A, which guarantees the right to a fair trial and compliance with legal requirements, particularly in cases related to the 21st Amendment. The Supreme Court had ruled in the case against the 21st Amendment that the military courts' trials are of a temporary nature.
