Shutdown in Occupied Kashmir against sham local bodies' polls

In Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in poll-bound areas today to send a message to India that Kashmiris reject sham polls and only want right to self-determination.

The so-called local body polls are being held in Srinagar, Tral, Awantipora, Mattan, Pahalgam, Aishmuqam, Seer Hamdan, Hajin and Uri today.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have shifted an activist of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Sheikh Sartaj, from Islamabad town to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu after booking him under draconian law, Public Safety Act.

He was arrested on the 18th of last month.
