Model Town tragedy being re-investigated: minister

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Fayaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that the bureaucracy had to work under law to follow the orders of the government and it should not accept orders which were against rules, regulations and laws.

Talking to the media here, Fayaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that the stance of Prime Minister Imran Khan about
making bureaucracy non-political was absolutely right. The Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam in his address to bureaucracy had said that they were employees of the state and obeying orders as per laws were their obligation,
he added.

The minister said the bureaucracy should not accept any pressure and should work under the law.
He claimed, Fawad Hasan Fawad was dictated for awarding the tender to a blue eyed in sheer violation of law, adding that ministries and even prime ministership were used to get personal benefits in the past.

The minister said the Model Town tragedy was being re-investigated and legal action would be taken against those
who were involved in it.
