Pakistan Foreign Exchange reserves touch new heights

KARACHI: (APP) Total liquid foreign exchange reserves of the country stood at dollars 23.492 billion, said State Bank of Pakistan.
According to SBP's weekly statement here on Thursday, the foreign reserves with State Bank on October 7, amounted $ 18,410.2 million and the net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were $ 5,081.9 million.
During the week ending October 07, country's total reserves decreased by $ 120 million to $ 23,492 million. Whereas, SBP's liquid foreign exchange reserves decreased by $ 81 million to $ 18,410 million over the period.
During the week, SBP made payments of $ 76 million on account of external debt servicing.
