Pakistani Police SP Tahir Dawar reportedly killed in Afghanistan: Sources

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Police Superintendent of Police has been reportedly killed in Afghanistan.

As per the media report, Superintendent Police (SP) Tahir Khan Dawar, who had gone missing from Islamabad a few days ago, has reportedly been murdered in Afghanistan, The News has reported.

Pictures of murdered police officer's body have been circulating on social networking platforms, however, there has been no official confirmation of SP Dawar's killing.

State Minister for Interior Shehryar Afridi declined to comment on the reports of Dawar's killing, saying that it was a sensitive matter.

"It is a matter of national security and someone's life and cannot be discussed on an open forum," Afridi said.
