Former PM Nawaz Sharif summoned by Supreme Court in yet another case

ISLAMABAD - Former PM Nawaz Sharif has been summoned by the Supreme Court of Pakistan yet again.

As per the media report SC summoned former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to appear before the court on December 4 in a case pertaining to allotment of government’s land in Pakpattan in 1985.

Sharif, as Punjab chief minister, had allegedly allotted 1,800 kanal land of Auqaf around Pakpattan shrine to an individual in violation of the high court order.

Last month, the top court had directed the former prime minister to submit a reply within two weeks after Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar took suo moto notice over illegal construction of shops on Pakpattan shrine’s land.
