Supreme Court has confirmed opposition stance: Opposition leaders

ISLAMABAD: A new debate has started over the refusal of Supreme Court to make inquiry commission to probe into Panama leaks as Opposition leader Khurshid Shah said that SC has confirmed opposition parties stance over the Panama issue.

Talking to a private news channel, opposition leader said that Supreme Court has endorsed opposition stance of legislation to investigate the Panama leaks allegations.

Responding over the Supreme Court remarks, PTI senior leader Shah Mahmood termed it victory of opposition stance and said that joint Terms of References are necessary to form a meaningful inquiry commission.

While commenting over the SC reply to government, Sheikh Rashid said that now federal government has entered in a close street and they would have to consult with opposition parties to make a joint Terms of References.

It is also worthy to mention here that earlier, Supreme Court of Pakistan replying the government letter, refused to form inquiry commission to investigate Panama Papers saying that to conduct investigation over the proposed Terms of References is not possible without a proper law in this regard.
