PDMA directs to open blocked roads in KP

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has directed to speed up opening roads blocked due to recent torrential rains in the province.
In a statement issued in Peshawar today, PDMA has also directed the concerned authorities to provide relief to the affected families due to current rains and heavy snowfall.
The statement further said that heavy machinery is being used to open blocked roads while relief items have been provided to affected people in Malakand.
Meanwhile, a compensation cheque of two hundred thousand rupees was given to the father of two children who were injured in a gas blast in Landi Kotal area of district Khyber.
