Russian top envoy has a piece of advice for US over Afghanistan

KABUL - Russia says the United States has completely failed in Afghanistan which has opened the way for Moscow to expand its clout in the country.
In an interview with Associated Press today (Wednesday), President Vladimir Putin's envoy for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov said despite the Soviet-era war, many Afghans now view Russia as an impartial mediator that can help advance political process in the country.
Kabulov said it is in the U.S. interests to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan as quickly as possible and focus on financial assistance to the Afghan government to help the post-war recovery.
