An amount of over three hundred and thirty million dollars has been pledged at a donors' conference in Kuwait today to assist rebuilding efforts in Iraq.
Earlier, Iraqi officials told the conference that rebuilding Iraq after three years of war with Islamic State will cost 88.2 billion dollars.
Director-general of Iraq's planning ministry Qusay Adulfattah said about twenty two billion dollars will be required in the short term and another sixty six billion dollars in the medium term.
Iraq declared victory over Islamic State in December, having taken back all the territory captured by the militants in 2014 and 2015. (Reuters/KUNA )
