Speaker PA announces schedule for elections of top slots in Punjab Assembly

LAHORE - Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan has said that elections for the slots of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly will take place on Thursday.
Talking to newsmen in Lahore today, he said that the newly elected members of the House who are interested for contesting the election of the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker are supposed to file their nomination paper from 3 to 5 pm on Wednesday.
The first session of newly elected Punjab Assembly will be held on Wednesday during which newly elected MPA’s will take oath.
