New oil and gas reserves discovered in Sindh, Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Petroleum Limited has discovered hydrocarbons from the exploratory well ‘Yasar X-1’, which is located in Sujjawal district, Sindh.

During the testing, the well managed 3.2 MMscfd gas and 475 bbl per/day condensate at 32/64” choke.

Pakistan Petroleum Limited has a 100% working interest in the Kotri block and is the operator under the Kotri Exploration Licence No. 2468-12

Back at the end of July, Pakistan Petroleum together with its joint venture partner, Sindh Energy Holding Company limited also discovered hydrocarbons from well Hub X-1, which is located in Lasbela District, Balochistan.

Earlier in March 2018, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) had announced a hydrocarbons discovery at Adhi South X-1, an exploratory well in Rawalpindi. ------------------------------

The discovery had been made with its joint venture partners Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Pakistan Oilfields Limited.

PPL’s share price was up by 0.45%, or Rs 0.95, trading at a price of Rs 213.40. The overall volume of the shares traded were 286,800.
