Is Pakistan regaining its soft image in the world after Zarb e Azb

PESHAWAR (APP): Pakistan has significantly improved its image worldwide since the PML-N came into power after general elections of 2013 by taking bold decisions against militancy and terrorism that ultimately restored the confidence of foreign investors and financial institutions to invest in the country.

The PML-N Government after coming to power took significant decisions and improved the image of the country across the world.

The multi-facetted 46 billion dollar agreements about infrastructure, energy, social-economic development with China under CPEC, decisive action against terrorists in North Wazirstan Agency under Operation Zarb-e-Azb, restoration of Pakistan economy, initiating mega project in power sectors and now Azadi trains have restored the confidence of the world in Pakistan being a safe and investment friendly country.

Sardar Aurgazib Nalota, Parliamentary leader of PML-N in KP Assembly told APP that CPEC, Zarb-e-Azb operation and revival of Pakistan economy was the hallmark of PML-N Government that has not only improved the soft image of Pakistan but totally dispelled the negative impression.

Following CPEC, he said, the other countries and donor agencies/monetary institutions are now preferring Pakistan than any other countries of South Asia for investment and the country has emerged as first choice for them.

He said political stability, strong economic policy and peace are necessary for development of any country and huge investment of China in Pakistan means that the image of Pakistan has improved considerably.

Nalota said successful operation Zarb-e-Azb that has broken the back of militants and restored peace in FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and across Pakistan has also gave a strong message to the world that Pakistan is no more insecure state as being considered before 2013.

Following APS terrorist attack on December 14, 2014, the government took bold decisions to defeat terrorism and evolved political consensus for anti terrorism National Action Plan and setting up of special courts for speedy trial of hardcore terrorists. These measures have reduced incidents of terrorism and improved the country's image internationally.

The Federal Government, he said, is now giving top focus to dignified repatriation of TDPs to FATA besides rebuilding and development of infrastructures including schools, colleges, civic facilities and hospitals in tribal areas.

PML-N senior provincial leader Rehmat Salam Khattak said Azadi Train is yet another positive initiative of Federal Government to improve Pakistan's soft image, saying Azadi train is being launched as a symbol of national unity and it would portray the past, present and future of the country with different stalls, floats and other art works.

The train consists of coaches is designed and decorated in such a way that it could pass a very positive message to world community about Pakistan's rich cultural heritage, ancient architecture, history and achievements through its various floats and pictures to be displayed in various galleries and would cover 40,00 kilometers journey from Peshawar to across the country starting from August 14 that would attract a large number of people irrespective of caste and religion.

He said Azadi Train will also depict the country's efforts against the menaces of terrorism and extremism besides the sacrifices of the people and the security forces for the cause of global peace. He said due to these measures, today ever Pakistan is celebrating Independence Day with full enthusiasm in a peaceful atmosphere.

The participation of a large number of people to welcome Azadi train at Peshawar Railway Station after its arrival from Margalla Station Islamabad the other day signified that the law and order situation has improved in Peshawar.

Rushad MPA said successful holding of Pakistan Premier League and economic revival of Pakistan economy besides massive energy projects of thousands of Megawatt have improved Pak image globally.

He said Pakistan was nearer to be declared bankrupt and default country before 2013 but the PML-N Government accepted this massive challenge and put the economy back on path of economic and monetary development.
