PM to inaugurate first unit of Neelum Jhelum Hydropower project today

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will pay a brief visit to Muzaffarabad today to formally inaugurate power generation from first unit of Neelum Jhelum Hydropower project.
At the first leg of its operation, the project will generate electricity to its full capacity to the tune of 242MW soon after its completion.
Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Project, has four units with cumulative generation capacity of 969MW.
The second, third and fourth units 242.25 MW each will start functioning upto July this year. APP/AFP
