ISLAMABAD: While giving an unveiled threat to Kashmiris, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that “one will see a transformed Kashmir in a year no matter how the change takes place.”
The threat is perceived by many as the Indian plan to carry out a systematic genocide of Kashmiri youth, protesting against illegal occupation of India over Jammu and Kashmir, KMS reported.
Speaking at an interactive session during ‘Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards’ function, held in Mumbai, the minister chewed no words while giving the threat.
He said, “You will see a transformed Kashmir in a year. No matter how the change occurs, one thing is certain, that there will be a change in Kashmir in a year’s time.”
Singh was quick to explain his warning by saying that he was fully agreed with Army Chief General Bipin Rawat’s remarks about dealing sternly with the protesters coming in the way of military operations.
“Those doing such things will have to face the consequences,” he said.
Rajnath Singh said Farooq Abdullah should not have supported the stone pelting boys. The National Conference (NC) President had recently defended the stone-pelting youth in the Valley, saying they are fighting for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the wishes of its people.
This threat is construed as Bharatiya Janata Party government’s plan to unleash genocide of the Kashmiri people as the same BJP had carried out a massacre of Muslims in Gujarat under the incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi. –APP
