OIC stands behind Kashmiris right of self determination

ANKARA: Pakistan Foreign Office claimed that OIC stands behind Kashmiris right of self determinationin in accordance with UN resolution.
Foreign Office claimed that a Pakistani delegation led by Sartaj Aziz met with OIC Secretary General’s Special Representative on Jammu and Kashmir Mr. Abdullah Al-Alim on the sidelines of ongoing 13th OIC Summit in Istanbul.
It said “(It) reiterated OIC’s continued support to the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle for realization of their right to self-determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolution.”
Al-Alim claimed that the Contact Group support the Kashmiris and constantly conveys their concerns to the international community.
“He regretted some attempts to equate the Kashmiri struggle with terrorism, and emphasized that the Kashmiris were solely striving to achieve their inalienable right in accordance with relevant UN resolution,” the statement said.
Sartaj Aziz also emphasized Pakistan’s political and diplomatic support to Kashmiri people.
Kashmir is a disputed area between Pakistan and India since 1947 and both countries have also fought three wars on Kashmir.
Kashmiris are fighting against the state terrorism of India in Indian Held Kashmir since 1989 and more than 68,000 Kashmiri people have been died in the fight.
