NEW DELHI: India defeated Pakistan by 5-1 in Sultan Azlaan Shah Hockey Championship and secured the second position in the event.

 

SV Sunil contributed 2 goals while Manpreet Singh, Talwinder Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh contributed 1 goal each in the massive victory of Indian team.

 

Pakistan could only score one goal with the help of Muhammad Irfan.

 

Pakistan was also defeated by New Zealand and Australia but won from Canada.

 

Now Pakistan team is outplayed from the event after this match.

 

India also defeated Canada and Japan but lost from Australia in the earlier matches of the event.
