Reduced Visa Fee: Saudi Arabia government has yet another good news for Umrah Pilgrims

JEDDAH - Saudi Arabia government has yet another good news for Umrah Pilgrims as it has reduced the Umrah Visa fee for pilgrims.

The Saudi Council of Ministers has recently approved restructuring of visa system for Haj and Umrah pilgrims as well as for visitors and transit passengers, international media reported.

This is through unifying the visa fee for issuing visa for each person at a rate of SR300. The Cabinet also canceled fee for repeating Umrah pilgrimage.

According to the decision, SR300 to be charged for single entry for a period of three months on the visit visa for the purpose of Umra, tourism or business or visiting friends and relatives or other purposes. On Haj visa SR300 would be charged.

Transport to be provided for the group buses. Multiple visa period is one year as all the pilgrims will have to pay 5 percent tax.

This revoked the earlier rule to the effect that an Umrah pilgrim had to pay SR2,000 in case of repeating the pilgrimage during a period of three years.
