India beats Pakistan in semifinals of South Asia Football Federation Championship
DHAKA – India defeated Pakistan 3-1 in the semi-final of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka on Wednesday.
Muhammad Ali scored the lone score for Pakistan, while India’s Manveer Singh scored two goals – in 49th and 69th minute. Samit Passi added the third goal seven minutes from time.
All four goals were scored in the second half of the match. Both teams played with 10 players each during last 10 minutes of the game.
Defending champions India will face Maldives in final of the tournament.
