CTD Officer arrested for leaking sensitive Information to terrorists

KARACHI: Inspector of the Counter Terrorism Department has been dismissed for having shared sensitive information with the Muttahida Quami Movement – London (MQM-L).

Syed Ali Raza was incharge of the STIG Intelligence CTD Karachi, and was appointed after the assassination of Chaudhry Aslam.

MQM-London activist Umair Hassan Siddiqui, who was the former sector incharge in Gulshan-e-Maymar, made the startling revelation to law-enforcement agencies in a Joint Investigation Team that the inspector provided sensitive information with them.

Siddiqui also alleged that the inspector facilitated several members of the MQM-L involved in target killing and terrorism.
