Pakistan Rangers, Indian BSF high level officials meet, important decisions taken

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Rangers and Border Security Force (BSF) vowed to maintain peace and tranquility at the International Border (IB) in Jammu division, DNA has reported.

The renewed pledge for peace was taken in a Sector Commander level Meeting between Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers on International Border in Suchetgarh area on Monday.

The BSF delegation comprising 18 officers was led by PS Dhiman, DIG Jammu Sector. Brigadier Amjad Mehmud, Sector Commander Chenab Rangers, Sialkote Punjab, led the 14 member Pakistan delegation.

It was the first Sector Commander level meeting between two border guarding forces after tension gripped International Border Jammu, in September

“During meeting, Commanders of both the border guarding forces, inter alia, discussed various issues including firing on International Border, presence of suspects in border areas and other routine issues related to border management”, said a BSF spokesman at Jammu Frontier.
