ISLAMABAD - Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal says the international community can win the war against terrorism only through collaboration not confrontation.
In an interview, he said that there are no safe havens in Pakistan for terrorists and our security forces have eliminated all their hideouts across the country.
The Minister said Pakistan has paid a heavy price in the war against terrorism and our security forces are carrying out round the clock combing and intelligence based operations.
Ahsan Iqbal vowed to make Pakistan a peaceful country and an economic power in the region.
Answering a question, the Minister said the United States has spent over three trillion dollars in Afghanistan but it has failed to restore stability there.
He said forty percent of Afghanistan's territory is still under Taliban's control and they do not need safe havens inside Pakistan.
