PESHAWAR, June 12 (APP): Peshawar Police foil attempt of smuggling weapons to Punjab
At least two suspected people were arrested in Peshawar as police officers foiled an attempt of smuggling weapons to Punjab here on Sunday.
According to details, SHO Police Station Bahari Pura area Rehmat Ullah headed a raiding party conducted raids at different localities and apprehended the criminals from Pahari Pura area.
Arms and ammunition including 20 pistols, two machine guns and 30,000 cartridges were also recovered from them. Moreover, the detainees as identified Muhammad Ismail s/o Haji Aziz, Muhammad Nabi s/o Shazam Khan of Dara Adam Khail have been shifted to some undisclosed place for further interrogation while the security officers have launched an investigation into the matter.
