Pakistan beats Afghanistan in semifinals of inter parliamentary cricket world cup

ISLAMABAD - London, at first semi-final of Inter Parliamentary Cricket World Cup Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 8 wickets.

Earlier batting first Afghanistan scored 101 in twenty overs.

Pakistan successfully chased the target in 14th over with highest score of Ali Zahid with 36 and Ali Amin Gandaprue with 35 runs.

Murtaza Mehmud took three wickets while Ahmed Kundi and Zain Qureshi took two tickets each.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi congratulated the team.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has congratulated the Parliamentary cricket team on winning semi-finals against Afghanistan in London on Friday.

While praising the performance of Pakistan team, Speaker said Pakistan's parliamentary team quashed Afghanistan and it should continue the same vogue in future.

He said Pakistan's parliamentarians are happy for qualifying in the final of the Parliamentarians World Cup. Asad Qaiser appealed the nation to pray for Pakistan team.
