KARACHI: PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari has said that hue and cry was raised over Rs 35 billion, but he received a notice of Rs 15 million.
In an interview to a private channel, he said that he had faced such fake cases in the past and would face them in future as well.
He dispelled the impression that the PPP is considering the election boycott.
Asif Zardari said that it is the time of the elections, not accountability. “The accountability should be done before or after the elections.”
To a question, Zardari said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s politics is dependent on the future circumstances.
Zardari said he won’t let anyone derail democracy in the country. “I will listen to everyone but in the end will do what is best in the interest of Pakistan and PPP,” he said.
He said that the person forming the next government will have to talk to the PPP.
