KPK govt. allocates highest funds for health sector

PESHAWAR (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Said advocate has said that in the budget for the new financial year the provincial government has allocated highest fund for health sector.

Talking to a delegation of Paramedics Association, Batkhela Hospital in his residence at Talash, Dir Lower, he said that thousands of new vacancies have been sanctioned to meet the shortage of doctors, paramedical and class-IV employees’ staff in all districts of the province.

He said that the granting of health professional allowance to paramedical staff is the achievement of their government. However, he urged on the paramedical staff to extend full support to government in bringing improvement in the standard and conditions of hospitals, better look after of patients and provision of better health facilities and perform day-night duty with honesty.

Regarding the provision of health professional allowance to class-IV employees of health department, he said that the provincial government has established a committee, which will soon present its report to Chief Minister. He said that all genuine demands of the employees including paramedics and class-IV will be resolved in phases.
