BREAKING: Indian Army Major along with two soldiers killed in a bomb blast near LoC

SRINAGAR - A massive Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion rocked the Line of Control (LoC) leaving a Indian Army Major and a Rifleman dead in Naushera sector of Jammu division.
The incident occurred at 3 pm when IED planted near the LoC exploded leaving two soldiers grievously injured. They were immediately rushed to the hospital where both of them succumbed.
“At about 3pm, an Improvised Explosive Device explosion took place near LoC in Naushera Sector in which an Army Officer and a soldier got grievously injured.
Immediate resuscitation and medical aid was provided, however, they succumbed to the injuries”, said Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, defence spokesman at Jammu.
In a separate incident, an army porter was injured when Pakistan responded to the ceasefire in Sunderbani sector on Friday.
“Army porter Hemraj was shot at and grievously injured. He was provided immediate resuscitation and medical aid, however, he later succumbed to the gunshot wounds. The Army authorities have promised all possible assistance to the family of martyred Army Porter”, he said.
