Zainab’s rape, killing hangs nation’s heads in shame: CJP

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar remarked that the minor seven-year-old Zainab, who was brutally murdered after rape, was the daughter of the nation and the tragic incident has lowered the nation’s head in shame.
While giving his remarks during the Al-Razi Medical College Case hearing, he expressed condolences over the brutal rape and murder of seven-year-old Zainab in Kasur.
He observed that his is more upset than him on the brutal rape and murder of seven-year-old minor girl.
The CJP further observed that there is no room for strike although the nation is in state of grief and anger.
Earlier, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar had taken notice over vicious killing of innocent minor girl Zainab, who was raped and killed in Kasur yesterday, and summoned report from IG Punjab within 24 hours.
An eight years old girl was brutally raped and murdered in Kasur. According to the details, the minor girl, Zainab was kidnapped few days ago from Road Kot, Kasur. She was strangled to death after being rapped multiple times.
Meanwhile, the government of Punjab has constituted Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the innocent child Zainab’s dreadful killing.
Following the orders of the Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif JIT has been formed and directed to submit report within 24 hours. The committee headed by AIG Abu Bakar Khuda Bukhsh and comprised of police officials and officials of intelligence agencies.
