UN hits back at Trump, describes

WASHINGTON - The United Nations has described as "shocking," "shameful" and "racist" the comments by U.S. President Donald Trump on immigrants from countries like Haiti and Africa.

The reaction was given by spokesperson of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Rupert Colville in Geneva today (Friday).

He said the UN rights office is very concerned about the decision to terminate the U.S.'s Temporally Status Program for people from El Salvador, Haiti and Nicaragua.

Trump was quoted in a UN briefing Thursday as asking that why the United States would accept more immigrants from Haiti and "shithole countries" in Africa rather than places like Norway.
