Kasur tragedy: Punjab CM announces rs10m reward for informer

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has on Thursday announced a Rs10 million reward to the person giving information about the accused behind the brutal killing of seven-year-old minor girl in Kasur.

The Punjab chief minister vowed to punish those behind the heinous crime and announced a reward of Rs 10 million to the person giving information about the accused behind the brutal killing of Zainab.

He also announced a compensation package of Rs3 million for the families of the people who died by the firing of police during a protest demonstration against the killing of minor girl.

Shehbaz Sharif further said that jobs would be given to two persons of the bereaved family.

Earlier, the chief minister said that the accused of raping and murdering a minor girl at Kasur will not remain unpunished.

After meeting the bereaved family, he said that he directed the police to arrest the accused immediately, so that he may be punished as per law.

He said that action will also be taken according to law against the police personnel who resorted to firing at protesters without any reason.

Shehbaz Sharif went on to say that a high level JIT has been formed to probe the incident, which is comprised of members from both civil and Army institutions.
