Pakistan NSA, Somalian Ambassador for enhanced security ties

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Ambassador of Somalia Khadija Mohammad Al-Makhdoomi called on Lt Gen (Retd) Nasser Khan Janjua on Thursday and discussed matters of mutual interest.

The ambassador expressed her desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan in multiple areas, including trade, human resource development, defence and security, said a press release.

She said that Pakistan had great capacity to tackle internal security problems and Somalia wanted to learn from its experiences in that regard.

The National Security Adviser said Somalia was a country of great strategic importance.

Both sides agreed to enhance mutual cooperation and boost bilateral relations.

They also reiterated to work together in close collaboration in all the fields and also to learn from each other's experience.
