Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has shown his willingness of ceasefire with Taliban urging them to enter peace talks with government.

Addressing a large gathering at the Presidential Palace in Kabul, he extended an olive branch to the Taliban, offering the release of prisoners.
He criticized the Taliban for preferring Moscow over Mecca for talks and not willing to engage in direct talks with the Afghan government.
